Kate Moss Topshop Summer Collection 2010

Kate Moss Topshop Summer Collection 2010
Topshop have been onto a winner since hiring supermodel Kate Moss to design for them. Styled on her own wardrobe, she's been giving us a taste of the catwalk designers at high street prices, and has always hit the right fashion mark. Since 2007 her collections have been selling out in a matter of hours, and her summer 2010 collection is sure to do the same.

Here’s a preview of the collection and some of its signature ideas...

It’s all about the Kate Moss dress
Floral print – Kate knows that this summer it’s all about the floral print. It’s a favourite for every catwalk and high street this season, so Kate uses it throughout the collection. There’s a variety of prints for tops and dresses, from a pale beige dress (£70), to a yellow slip (£50). There’s every type of dress possible (maxi, short, summer dress, evening), so there’s something out there for any body type.

Maxi Dress – The collection is focused around dresses and the most striking of these are her maxi dresses. Kate models for the campaign posters a leaf-print green maxi dress (£75) that is sure to be popular. Other maxi dresses to look out for is a yellow tiered maxi (£150), a pale blue and beige Florence style (£120), and a halter blue maxi (£120).

Lace – the use of black and white lace features in a few items, but doesn’t take away the focus of the floral print for this collection. In particular an evening black laced dress (£70) will go great with a pair of heels, or lace black shorts (£60) can be dressed up with a neutral toned top for a night out. Also look out for an ethereal white lace trim blouse (£50).
All things small
Short Shorts – every fashionista needs a good pair of short shorts this summer and Kate gives us plenty of designs to choose from. From charming grey suede cutwork shorts (£70), to velvet ruffled hotpants (£60), make sure you get your pins into shape to show them off.
Embellishment – as with every collection Kate has designed, the small details pull the pieces together in a cohesive fashion. There’s diamante embellishment on maxi dresses, cord string detail that are used to fasten up a pair of denim shorts as well as act as straps for a floral maxi dress. It’s a feathered cape (£85), however, that shows off a flair for her chic detail.
Jumpsuit – the must-have item of the moment is the jumpsuit, and Topshop aren’t going to leave you hanging to find the right one. You’re spoilt for choice with a halter denim playsuit (£45), grey croquet detailed playsuit (£85) and a pale green satin jumpsuit (£100). Each piece doesn’t need much accessorising with just the right amount of embellishments on each.
